Supporting students in attaining successful academic outcomes is a top mission for The University of Central Florida. Part of that mission includes making available affordable textbook solutions and savings. By providing students with the correct materials at the most affordable prices, we can ensure they are prepared for their first day of classes. This past academic year, the UCF Campus Store saved students nearly $6 million off new textbook prices with our cost-savings programs, including used, rentals, digital, and inclusive access options. USED BOOKS These titles offer an on average discount of 25% off the cost of the same new title, making them an appealing money saver for all students. A common question we receive from both students and parents is, “when should I buy my course materials?” While the go to answer is whenever you prefer, it is worth considering that USED books are immensely popular and sell out first. So do not delay if you would like to take advantage of those savings when available! DIGITAL Want to save money AND backpack space? Then digital is the way to go. With digital textbooks students can have access to all of their course material in one convenient digital library by ordering digital and setting up an account through Yuzu, our digital material platform. Buying or renting digital material can save students up to 80%. As such, rentals are the most popular option for students when available. Rentals are due back by the last day of finals, can be written & highlighted in, and can even be mailed back for a nominal fee. Not every title is available to rent, but a substantial percentage are so take advantage whenever possible! RENTAL FAQ: https://ucf.bncollege.com/shop/ucf/page/rental-faqs PRICE MATCH Save money with our Price Match Guarantee! Price Match Guarantee reimburses students the cost difference of a new or used print book if they find the exact textbook at a lower price on Amazon, BN.com, or a local competitor. The Price Matching policy guarantees price matching on textbooks advertised on bn.com or Amazon. The Price Match policy does not include pricing matching from textbook marketplaces and does not include offerings from peer-to-peer marketplaces, third-party sellers, aggregator sites, digital books, publisher direct pricing or bulk purchases/course fee pricing. Price matching on textbooks will be honored through the first week of class, to accommodate orders placed early. Outside of the first week of class, we will price match textbooks, at the time of purchase, every day! TEXTBOOK BUYBACK A year-round service where books are bought back for cash. Books being used again for the next semester are worth 50% their retail value. Books not being used for next semester have a wholesale value determined by national demand.
