Posted Friday, April 23, 2021 @ 3:15 PM Although spring is coming to an end, many UCF Housing communities remain open year-round. Residents in the Towers, NorthView and UnionWest housing communities stay in their rooms for Fall, Spring, and the following summer- the summer C term. These residents have the benefit of remaining in their campus apartments or suites for classes, jobs, internships, and other activities, without having to move out or leave for breaks between semesters. Residents in these communities may get new roommates for summer, so it is important to read and follow the spring closing procedures, even if they are not moving out. In addition to residents staying in their current rooms, incoming freshmen will join us on campus during the Summer B term, in mid-June. Summer B housing is located mostly in the Nike, Hercules, and Neptune communities, where incoming freshmen get to stay next the Recreation and Wellness Center. This agreement includes suite-style housing in all three communities, and also gives students the chance to experience the Nike and Hercules apartments that are reserved for returning residents in the fall and spring. Staying on campus for Summer B allows these incoming students to get used to navigating campus and finding many important resources while getting a head start on their core classes. Housing staff recommend that students arriving for Summer B pack light. The 6 weeks go by quickly, and before you know it, it is time to move out for two weeks before returning to housing for the Fall. For more information on packing and move-in, check out the housing website under Resources. The suggested packing list is located on the Before You Arrive page. Move-in dates and COVID Testing updates for Summer B and Fall are being finalized, and information will be updated throughout the summer. Back
